Safety first. Skill second. Always in that order.
Private firearms instruction for responsible adults. Fundamentals, safety, and competence, taught with the same discipline as everything else in this building.
Private Firearms Safety and Skill Training · MetroWest, MA
The same philosophy. A different tool.
Everything we teach at the academy starts from the same place. Common sense before self-defense. Firearms instruction is no different. It just raises the stakes on getting the fundamentals right.
Instruction is private, adult-only, and built around safety, judgment, and competence. First-time owners who want a serious foundation are as welcome as experienced shooters refining their skills. No bravado, no shortcuts, and no student moves forward until the fundamentals are automatic.
Because it's one on one, instruction is tailored to your experience, your equipment, and your goals.
Safety, drilled to habit
The rules aren't a poster on a wall. They're the reflexes every session is built around.
Fundamentals that hold
Grip, stance, sight picture, trigger control. The unglamorous things that make everything else work.
Judgment above all
Knowing the law, knowing the responsibility, and knowing that avoidance is always the first skill.

Range Familiarization and Good Citizen Class
Never held a firearm before? Worried that everyone else knows what to do and you don't? Want to move at your own pace instead of feeling unsafe trying to keep up? Then this is the class for you.
Goals
Get comfortable with the handling, grip mechanics, and general usage of modern pistols
Start building range "good citizen" habits. Your future peers will thank you
Take slow steps to manage the totally normal fear that comes with your first time on a live range
Understand what your next steps should be, if you want to take them. This is your journey and nobody else's
Safety and comfort, both intellectual and physical, are the highest priorities of the day. We use low recoil pistols to build your skill around the platform, starting with .22 pistols. We can move to 9mm if we are both comfortable taking that step.

★★★★★
Recently, I attended Paul's pistol firearms training, and it was amazing. As a licensed NRA instructor, Paul's deep knowledge of firearms, his engaging teaching style, and his unwavering commitment to safety were beyond impressive.
Despite my previous informal shooting experience, this class took my understanding to a whole new level. The class was expertly crafted, blending theory with hands-on exercises, making learning both enjoyable and efficient.
What set Paul apart was his focus on safety. Every protocol was explained in detail, instilling a deep sense of responsibility for firearms. The class was also instrumental in guiding my next firearms purchase, with Paul discussing different pistol types, their uses, and pros and cons.
I'm already planning to return for more advanced classes. If you're considering a firearms class, regardless of skill level, I can't recommend Paul's classes highly enough. His mastery of the subject and his passion for teaching make it a worthwhile investment.
