Terms of Service
Effective August 27, 2026.
These terms cover your use of this website and the class requests you make through it. They are written for the website. The waiver and membership agreement you sign in person govern training itself, and where the two differ, the signed agreement controls.
Using this site
You may use this site to learn about our programs, read the schedule, and request a free trial class. Please do not misuse it: no scraping, no attempts to break into any part of it, no using it to send anything unlawful or abusive.
The words, photos, layout, and program materials on this site belong to Metrowest Academy of Jiu Jitsu. You are welcome to share links to any page. Please do not copy our copy for another school.
Requesting a free class
The free trial class is exactly that: one class, on us, with no obligation and no card required. When you request a free class, we ask for your name, phone number, and email address so we can arrange your visit.
We confirm bookings by text or phone, usually within one business day. Occasionally a class fills, an instructor is out, or weather closes the Academy. If that happens we will reach out and reschedule you. Booking a class is a reservation, not a contract.
Trials are for new students. Adults new to us may try Monday, Wednesday, or Saturday classes. The Tuesday grappling class is open to current adult members rather than trials.
Memberships, billing, and cancellation
Membership terms, rates, billing dates, and cancellation notice are set out in the membership agreement you sign when you enroll. Nothing on this website changes those terms. If you have a question about your account, call us and we will pull it up.
We do not publish membership rates on this website. Ask us and we will walk you through what fits.
Firearms instruction
Firearms courses are private, adult-only, and held off-site at a partner range. They carry their own scheduling, payment, and safety requirements, which we go over before your first session. Nothing on this website is legal advice about firearms ownership, carry, or use in Massachusetts or anywhere else. Know your local laws.
Safety and assumption of risk
Jiu jitsu is a physical, contact activity. We train with control, we supervise every class, and we take safety seriously. Even so, injuries can happen. Every student, or a parent for a student under 18, signs a waiver before training. That waiver, not this page, governs the risks of participation.
Tell us about injuries, medical conditions, and medications before class. It is not optional, and it is how we keep people healthy.
Photos and video
We sometimes photograph or record classes, events, and testing for Academy use. Tell us in writing if you or your child should not be pictured, and we will honor it.
Conduct
We hold a peaceful, walk-away-first standard, on the mat and off it. Respect for instructors, training partners, and the space is the price of admission. We reserve the right to end a membership for conduct that puts other students at risk.
No warranties, and limits on liability
This website is provided as is. We work to keep the schedule and program information accurate, but we cannot promise the site will always be available or error free. Always confirm a class time with us if the timing matters.
To the fullest extent the law allows, the Academy is not liable for indirect or incidental damages arising from your use of this website. Nothing here limits any liability that cannot be limited under Massachusetts law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Any dispute about this website will be handled in the state or federal courts serving Middlesex County.
Changes
We may update these terms. The effective date at the top will change when we do, and continuing to use the site means you accept the update.
