Preschool Martial Arts · Ages 4 to 6 · Natick, MA
A fun and educational martial arts program for young kids.
We take the structure of real martial arts and wrap it in games, so your kid builds actual skills without ever feeling like they're sitting through a lesson.
Focus is the big one. But we're also working on teamwork, control, balance, memory, discipline, fitness, and coordination, plus the safety basics. And here's the quiet part: nothing builds a kid's confidence like getting genuinely good at something.
You can start anytime. Classes run all year. Beginners come once or twice a week, and more days open up as your kid moves up through the ranks.
Focus and confidence
Lots of movement, on purpose. It's how little kids actually build an attention span, and the confidence that rides along with it.

How Stripes Work
Eight skills. Sixteen stripes. One new belt.
Here's what your Little Ninja is actually working on. Eight skills, from focus and balance to teamwork and discipline. Earn two stripes in each one and that's sixteen stripes, which adds up to a belt promotion. It gives a four-year-old something real to chase, and it gives you a simple way to see exactly what they're building, one stripe at a time.
"Sensei Paul is an outstanding teacher. He relates very well to children, is capable of teaching all ages and abilities, and really makes the classes fun for all. He clearly has mastery of the material and a great deal of passion for what he does."

Common Questions
What Ninja parents ask
How is Ninjas different from the Kids class?
Love this one, honestly. It tells me you're already thinking about what's right for your kid. At four, five, and six, we keep it structured and built around where they actually are. The goal is a strong foundation for everything that comes later, self-defense included. Around seven, they're ready for the real self-defense material, which has a lot more depth to it. We hold that back until they've got the maturity and memory to handle it without getting overwhelmed.
Are the classes safe?
Very. The kids are supervised the whole time, and classes are split by age so the little ones aren't mixed in with bigger kids. That's what lets them actually land their moves and walk out feeling good about it.
Will my child have fun?
That's kind of the whole strategy. Fun is how little kids learn, so we lean all the way into it. What they don't notice is that they're building teamwork and a sense of belonging the entire time.
Will my child learn to be a bully?
The opposite, every time. We teach a peaceful, walk-away-first philosophy. Common sense before self-defense. The respectful, well-behaved kids are exactly the ones we want here, and holding that line is how we protect both the art and the Academy.
What are the benefits of martial arts at this age?
Honestly, it's life skills more than anything. Respect and courtesy and honesty are baked right into the training, so kids learn to listen, stick with something, and finish what they start. They come out more confident and more focused. If you've been thinking about it, this is a great age to begin.
What will my child’s first class be like?
Open and friendly, same as every class after it. The best thing about this place is how welcoming the instructors and the other kids are. Your child won't feel like the new one for long.
How many days a week do we come?
We run five days a week, and Ninjas can come once or twice. You pick the days, and you can change them week to week right in the app. We keep it flexible on purpose, because we know your week is already full.
Can I watch the classes?
Definitely. Drop by anytime.

"I love the amount of patience they have with the little ninja classes… I have a 4y that started who has such a hard time focusing and attending the classes have helped so much. They even give great encouragement to the parents of the real rambunctious kids like mine where I don't feel like I'm “that parent, with that kid” lol."

Yes. Little Ninjas is our program for ages 4 to 6. Children practice movement, balance and following directions as they build a foundation for martial arts. You can request a free class to see how your child responds.
How is Ninjas different from the Kids class?
Little Ninjas is a foundational skills program for ages 4 to 6, taught through structured games. Children work on focus, coordination, teamwork, and following directions. The Kids program, for ages 7 to 10, introduces more detailed jiu-jitsu and self-defense training. Each program matches the material to the age group.
Are the classes safe?
Instructors supervise the children throughout class, and we keep this age group separate from the older classes. Activities focus on control and age-appropriate skills. We take safety seriously, but no physical activity is risk free.
